Project Description

The Lance Armstrong Foundation is headquartered in a converted paper warehouse building in east Austin. The foundation raises money for the fight against cancer and, according to their mission, seeks to give hope to cancer patients and their families, believing that “unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything.”

Building on the iconic “LiveStrong” yellow band, the graphics team created a comprehensive system of interpretive graphics, donor recognition elements and base building signage. Environmental graphic elements throughout the office space bear significant phrases from the foundation’s mission.

In describing this project for its 2009 Merit Award, the SEGD jury complimented the team’s design sense by noting that the yellow band “was used in a disciplined way.”
